Learn to Play Therapy
Learn to play is a directive approach that helps children improve their social skills, language and self-esteem. It focuses on teaching children to improve their ability to initiate their own pretend play.

Pretend play, also known as imaginative play or make believe, is a vey complex form of play where children use their imagination to pretend they are someone else and create stories. Pretend play is about understanding the meaning of how things work instead of the literal function of toys.
Humanistic Therapy
Humanistic Therapy uses a non-directive child-centred approach to access the child’s inner world. The therapist follows the child’s pace and interests. The relationship itself between the therapist and the child promotes healing and growth during the sessions.
Humanistic Therapy promotes the belief that children already have the ability to self-regulate, and the therapist is the vehicle which provides a safe road for them, using skills such as empathy and attunement.
Child-centred therapy gives the children permission and freedom to totally express their feelings through play.

Filial Therapy
Filial Therapy is a type of family therapy. Years of research has proven that Filial Therapy helps children’s emotional and behavioural problems and also helps parents understand and communicate better with their children.
Filial Therapy is a psycho-educational approach. Parents are trained by a play therapist to learn and use some of the skills that are used during therapy sessions. Supervised sessions are provided for the parents to practice what they have learned, before they can start special play time with their children at home.
The long term goal of Filial Therapy is to transition these skills into their everyday lives so that they can communicate better, and have stronger relationships among the family members.
